Found mainly in northern New South Wales and Queensland, these wasps lay their eggs inside tree branches, causing abnormal growths called galls. These galls are hard to spot at first, but they become glaringly obvious as they grow. If left untreated, Citrus Gall Wasp can reduce fruit size, weaken your tree, and decrease overall yields. Over time, severe infestations can lead to branch dieback and even kill the tree.

How do I know if my citrus tree has it?

Early detection can be tricky, but there are some clear signs to look for. The most obvious indicator is the presence of galls on the branches.
